Pokemon Go Player Says He Encountered a Loveland Frogman

Last month some news articles appeared online suggesting that people playing Pokemon Go around Loch Ness could potentially get a picture of one of the Loch's legendary monsters, and now, someone claims they spotted a Loveland Frogman while playing the game.

WCPO Cincinnati is reporting that Sam Jacobs and his girlfriend were playing Pokemon Go "between Loveland Madeira Road and Lake Isabella" Wednesday night when they encountered one of the frogmen.

"We saw a huge frog near the water," Jacobs said. "Not in the game, this was an actual giant frog."

He quit the game and managed to get some photos and a short video of the purported frogman.

The couple went to Jacobs' girlfriend's house afterwards and her parents told them about the legend of the Loveland Frogmen.

"…The thing stood up and walked on its hind legs," Jacobs said. "I realize this sounds crazy, but I swear on my grandmother's grave this is the truth. The frog stood about 4 feet tall."

On the same subject, Mark Matthews, a police officer who encountered a "Loveland Frog" in 1972, says that he and fellow officer Ray Shockey did not see frogmen, but an iguana. In all the stories it says Matthews shot at a frogman but missed, but he said he actually shot (and hit) an iguana, which was about 3 to 3.5 feet long. He said the animal was already half dead and was missing its tail, which is why he didn't immediately recognize it.

Matthews said he talked to an author once about the story, and told him there were no frogmen, but that the author omitted that part of the story. 

So, are there really frogmen, or is the whole thing a story blown out of proportion over the years?
